European Knowledge and Innovation Network: Sharing and Scaling CCC Practices
The European Knowledge and Innovation Network (EKIN) is a dynamic platform connecting up to 150 members, including farmers, advisors, veterinarians, researchers, and industry actors, to accelerate the adoption of Cow-Calf Contact (CCC) systems across Europe and beyond.
Purpose and Activities
- Share Knowledge: Cross-border exchange of CCC practices and innovations.
- Annual Meetings: Hosted in Greece, Italy, and Romania, these events showcase CCC knowledge developed by NIPs and Living Labs (LLs). Subsidized participation supports active CCC farmers and champions.
- Facilitate knowledge exchange within and between NIPs, the European Knowledge and Innovation Network (EKIN), and other relevant stakeholders.
- Collaborative Feedback: Members evaluate CCC solutions, prioritize LL projects, and provide input to guide TransformDairyNet’s progress.
Membership and Engagement
- Diverse Network: Includes partners from 12 countries, plus key dairy collaborators from outside the EU.
- Dynamic Growth: New members join as the network evolves, addressing emerging needs and ideas.
- Global Outreach: International actors are invited to participate online or at events.
The EKIN fosters innovation, co-learning, and the practical application of CCC knowledge, supporting sustainable dairy practices across borders.
